Fox And Cubs

Orange Hawkweed, also known as 'Fox And Cubs' because of the way the flowers grow in a cluster at the top of the long, straight stem.

The flowers are like small Dandelion heads but are bright fiery orange-red in colour. The stem is covered in small black hairs and has neat hairy leaves arranged in a rosette at the base.

Fox And Cubs is a naturalised garden escape, found on dry lawns and banks.

Grows to 15-30cm in height.

Flowers June to September.
