Reddish Vale Country Park
The ponds at Reddish Vale Country Park are home to a wide range of birds, from resident swans, canada geese, coots, moorhens, mallards etc, to the mad muscovy duck, later in the year tufted ducks arrive to overwinter, (although a few are resident nearly all year), as do the shovelers and other birds.
It's always worth keeping an eye on the ponds for unusual birds, especially in winter, in hard winters birds will go out of their normal territories in search of food and sometimes arrive in the Vale, migrating birds often stop for a rest on the ponds, like the pink footed geese.
